Yoga for kids Part 2

1. Tree Pose

The Tree pose in yoga is a powerful way to increase balance and strength in the body. It can help to improve posture, reduce stress and anxiety, and create a sense of calmness. It is also a great way to practice mindfulness and focus on the present moment.

The Tree pose requires you to stand tall with your feet firmly rooted into the ground while lifting your arms up towards the sky. You must find your center of balance and remain steady while focusing on your breath. With practice, you will be able to hold this pose for longer periods of time, allowing you to reap all its benefits.

2. Cobra Pose

The Cobra Pose is a great pose for kids to practice as it helps to improve their flexibility and posture. It can also help to relieve stress and tension in the back and shoulders. There are a number of other benefits of the Cobra Pose for kids, including improving digestion, stimulating the lungs, and toning the abdominal muscles. It is also a great way to introduce kids to backbends in yoga.

This pose requires children to lie on their stomachs with their feet hip-width apart. Then, have them place their hands flat on the ground beside their shoulders. Next, have them lift their chests off the ground, using their back muscles. Finally, have them hold the pose for a few breaths before releasing back down to the ground.

3. Bridge Pose

The Bridge Pose in Yoga is a great way for kids to get active. It helps them improve their flexibility and strength while also promoting balance and coordination. Additionally, it is a great way

to teach kids about proper alignment and how to use their breath to control their movements.

The Bridge Pose requires you to lie on your back and bend your knees with the feet flat on the floor. In this pose, your arms must rest alongside of the body. Next, you should lift your butt and back off the floor, creating a bridge, while tucking chin into chest. In case your kid has trouble lifting, a pillow may be placed beneath them to assist them.

Yoga has a wide range of benefits for children of all ages, and can be easily incorporated into their daily lives. It has been shown to provide a plethora of benefits for people of all ages – from improving flexibility and strength to reducing stress and anxiety levels. And while yoga is often thought of as an ‘adult’ activity, more and more parents are beginning to realize the many benefits of yoga for kids. If you are looking for an activity that will help your child to relax, focus and be more present, then yoga may be the perfect option!
